Founder Daniel Reyes grew up on Houston's west side and started working around residential repair projects shortly after high school. A family friend ran a small home-repair crew, and Daniel spent years learning how water problems move through real houses: supply-line leaks hidden behind vanities, roof leaks that follow framing before reaching a ceiling, showers that slowly damage adjacent drywall, and attic moisture that stays unnoticed until someone climbs overhead for another repair.
What bothered Daniel most was seeing the same properties repaired twice. A stain would be painted, a pipe would be fixed, or a section of trim would be replaced, but damp or mold-affected material was sometimes left behind because nobody had slowed down to look at the whole area. He began focusing more of his work on moisture-related cleanup and eventually formed Houston Mold Removal to give property owners a clearer, more focused option.
Today Daniel works with Maya Thompson and Luis Martinez throughout Houston and nearby communities. The company remains intentionally straightforward: define the mold problem, keep the cleanup scope tied to actual conditions, and make sure customers understand that controlling moisture matters after removal. Houston is home for the team, and the heat, humidity, thunderstorms, long cooling season, older housing stock, constant remodeling, and rapid new construction all shape how they approach local properties.
